MARTINA GUASCO
◍
Martina Guasco is a registered architect and research consultant working internationally across Europe, particularly Germany, Denmark and Northern Italy.
Her experience as a practice architect started in 2018 and has been mostly focused on the adaptive reuse and transformation of large-scale projects (from concept to detailed design and project management), while her expertise as a research consultant spans multidisciplinary fields, including architectural theory, legislation, economy, and building and urban physics, conducted at both academic and global industry levels.
Alongside her professional practice, she is pursuing a PhD in Architectural Theory applied to Macroeconomics. The research, titled "The Form of Debt," explores whether and how adaptive reuse can reframe longevity when buildings outlast the economic principles under which they were conceived.
Broader individual interests encompass the ethical dimensions of architectural practice and its form as a political driver against inequalities.
In Berlin, she is one of the initiators of Architects for Tempelhofer Feld.
